Recession-O-Rama Deals for the Weekend 1.25.09

Continuing with our deals for the weekend, here is what caught my eye today: a pair of noise canceling headphones, a laser printer, and a flat panel display. Hopefully you can save a little bit of money today if you decide to take advantage of any of these deals.

Asus intro’s 24, 25.5-inch personal entertainment LCD monitors

Asus has just announced that they will soon be releasing four new high-end displays. The new models are the VK246H and VW246H at 24-inches as well as the VK266H and VW266H at 25.5-inches.

All four new additions will feature the “Splendid Video Intelligence Technology,” which according to Asus will offer users “unparalleled color fidelity for utmost visual realism.” As for other features, they will all have a 20,000:1 contrast ratio, DVI-D and D-Sub PC inputs, a PC audio input, HDMI and an earphone jack.

The 24-inch models will have a 16:9 aspect ratio with a 1920 x 1080 max resolution and the 25.5-inch models will have a 16:10 aspect ratio with a 1920 x 1200 max resolution. Continued after the break.

Dell’s 23-inch 1080p LCD monitor

With all the super hectic movie chaos that are taking place these days, one’s monitor can never be enormous enough to feed to our flaming desires for in-house movie screenings. Well if that’s the case, I’m sure reading the news about this huge 23-inch LCD monitor will make a lot of people a lot happier. As the title suggests, Dell now presents you with its 23-inch S2309W 1080p LCD monitor, hot from the oven!

An LG computer monitor that Al Gore could love

No disrespect to Kermit the Frog, but it’s actually a helluva lot easier these days to be green, especially with corporate marketers working overtime to tout any and all energy-efficient / environmentally-safe qualities of their products. Such is the case with LG’s new Flatron W2252TE LCD monitor, which the company claims is the “world’s most energy-efficient monitor.” LG says the Flatron model uses 45-percent less power but still manages to serve up enough contrast and brightness for all that web surfing and all those games you like to play on your computer.
