Panasonic’s DMC-FZ28 digital camera touts an 18x optical zoom wide angle lens
For photography enthusiasts looking for a point-and-shoot that can provide a long-zoom feature, Panasonic’s new Lumix DMC-FZ28 might actually be the camera they are looking for. The DMC-FZ28 promises a 10.1 effective megapixel CCD sensor with image stabilization feature, a Leica branded 18x optical zoom lens that spans up to 27mm wide angle to a 486mm telephoto and a has a maximum aperture that ranges from f/2.8 to f/4.4. It also allows macro focusing up to one cm. at wide angle or one meter at Tele Macro mode. This camera also comes with a 2.7-inch LCD with display resolution of up to 230,000 dot, and a 0.2″ electronic viewfinder.
Panasonic intro’s the 14.7MP Lumix DMC-FX150
Panasonic has announced a couple of new cameras in its Lumix product line. One of these new cameras is the DMC-FX150 offering a 14.7-megapixel CCD sensor and a Leica branded 3.6x optical zoom lens with a 28mm wide angle. It is packed with a 2.7-inch LCD display in 230,000 dot resolution, a multi-area focus sytem with face detection and object tracking, and ISO sensitivity ranges from 100 to 1600 and shutter speeds that range from 1/2000 to 60 seconds.
In addition to all those features, Panasonic has also sprinkled the DMC-FX150 with a slew of camera technology features that would give photo enthusiasts an easy and pleasant time using the camera. These include image stabilization, automatic exposure control using intelligent multiple, center-weighted or spot metering. It also features nine white balance settings, and twenty five scene modes.
