The LG Glimmer is now available with Alltel, in an announcement that does not come as much of a surprise, we saw the leaked advertisement and then LG themselves pre-announced that the handset would be coming to Alltel. Well Alltel customers and potential customers alike will now officially have the LG Glimmer to choose from. more »

First, the Glimmer was leaked via magazine ad, now comes the official word from LG. Yet, there is still no confirmation when we’ll actually see it from Alltell. This could be a very nice little phone: it has touch screen sex appeal and the looks of a simple user interface. This little phone is pretty hot.

Its always fun to see how we are finding out about new phone releases, this time the announcement comes courtesy of a leaked advertisement. The LG Glimmer is a slider style phone that will feature a 2.8-inch touchscreen display, haptic feedback, 2.0-megapixel camera with 5x zoom, Bluetooth, speakerphone, 128MB of internal memory with a microSD card slot for additional storage, 3.5 hours of talk time and EVDO coverage.

As you would expect, no official release date or pricing has been announced, although the phone is rumored to be available beginning in March.
