Verizon has posted its Cyber Monday deals on smartphones, tablets and mobile broadband devices. The deals we’ll tell you about are only good for online purchases made today. They also require a new two-year agreement along with the appropriate data plan. The requirements aren’t anything out of the ordinary.
Sprint is taking away unlimited data for hotspots and mobile broadband devices
Sprint is once again making changes to its service plans. Although it is the only nationwide major carrier to offer a real unlimited plan for smartphones, it will not be extending that courtesy for all of its data devices any longer. Starting in November, Sprint will no longer offer unlimited data plans for mobile broadband devices or wireless hotspots created by its smartphones.
T-Mobile announces Sonic 4G Mobile Hotspot
Moments before T-Mobile chief marketing officer Cole Brodman revealed the pricing an release date for the Samsung Galaxy S II and HTC Amaze 4G, the curtain was pulled back on T-Mobile’s latest Wi-Fi hotspot. The Huawei-built Sonic 4G Mobile Hotspot will be released in October, but T-Mobile does not have a price set for the Sonic 4G.
Virgin Mobile announces new $20 per month mobile broadband plan
Virgin Mobile announced today a new addition to its mobile broadband offerings. Customers can now select a new prepaid plan for $20 a month. For that price, customers will get 500MB of data usage that will last a full month. Virgin Mobile will still offer a $10 plan worth 100MB for 10 days and a $50 monthly plan with unlimited 3G data speeds up to 2.5GB.
T-Mobile releases prepaid Rocket 4G Laptop Stick
If you’re looking for wireless connectivity on the go, T-Mobile wants to set you up on its 4G network with no strings attached. The T-Mobile prepaid 4G Rocket Stick is now available for $59.99. It’s possible of obtaining download speeds up to 21Mbps and doesn’t require a contract. You’ll have to pay for data as you go along. T-Mobile has three prepaid mobile broadband plans available, but starting on April 17, T-Mobile will introduce new prepaid plans.
