iriver Spinn finally out, sort of

At CES last January, I dropped by the iriver booth to see some of their newest products. That is where I first saw the Spinn MP4 Player, and when I say saw, I mean, just saw. They did not give me the opportunity to try it out, even though they were very excited about one of their latest portable media players. It was completely under glass, and I had doubts whether the model even worked.

Well, the Spinn has recently been caught on video in action, and it is everything iriver said it would be. See that cylindrical thing on the right side of the unit? That is the controller for the Spinn, which allow you “spin” it like an old school radio dial.

However, if you don’t want to “touch that dial”, so to speak, you can always use the 3.2-inch touch sensitive screen which is demonstrated in this video after the jump.

Newsmy F4 could be the first MP6 player

If the portable media player manufacturer Newsmy rings a bell to you, then you’d be glad to know that it has just released a new model called the F4 (now this one certainly rings a bell to me, sounds like a popular Taiwanese pop group). Anyway, our F4 MP6 player seems to be having an identity crisis based on what we have gathered about it. Some say it is an MP6 player that can play RM/ RMVB directly, but it could also be an MP5 player and definitely not an MP4 player since it has a camera. Anyway only Newsmy can confirm whether the F4 is also an MP5 player. However, upon checking their site, there was no available information about the F4 player just yet.
