What will you do when television paywalls become standard?
We’re starting to witness the beginning of a widespread television paywall. It may not seem like a big deal at first, but the days of watching new episodes the day after they air for free are limited. Fox recently announced it would delay the release of new episodes of its shows for eight days unless customers subscribe to Hulu Plus or Dish Network. Chances are Fox will gain the support of other major cable providers. How long before the other networks follow suit?

What Hulu doesn’t get
Hulu is one the best online video sites available in the United States. One of the weirdest things about the folks behind Hulu (NBC and News Corp.) is they seem to act in a way that counters their best interest. Put a show online? Take it down quickly! There’s software that lets people watch Hulu on televisions? We can’t have that!
Now why would Hulu act like this? You would think that more eyeballs watching shows on Hulu would be a good thing. Shouldn’t Hulu be on as many devices as possible? Let’s speculate on Hulu’s issue.

3G mobile service to be tested in China
China Mobile Communications Corp, the largest network provider in China are ready to begin testing of their 3G network using the TD-SCDMA standard. The test which is set to begin next week will include some 20,000 phones and 5,000 data cards that will be issued throughout Bejing and seven other cities. While there has not more »
