C Spire Wireless iPhone launch set for next week
Many of us were shocked to learn the iPhone 4S would be coming to regional carrier C Spire Wireless. We aren’t quite sure how they managed to pull that one off, but soon C Spire’s nearly one million customers will be able to purchase the iPhone 4 and the iPhone 4S on November 11, 2011. The standard 16GB 4S model will be $199.99 on a two year contract. The most expensive is the 64GB iPhone 4S, which costs $399.99.
Verizon confirms tiered data plan rates and start date
It has been no secret that Verizon was planning to scrap unlimited data plans. Verizon previously confirmed this would be the case, but did not confirm the pricing or other specific details that were leaked a while ago. Any hope of a last minute change of plans by Verizon has been dashed. The wireless carrier has gone on the record with FierceWireless stating the new tiered data plans will begin on July 7.

T-Mobile is going to alter its $50 and $70 prepaid monthly plans for talk, text and web access on May 22. Customers associated with these plans are getting a bit of an upgrade and the prices will remain the same.

Verizon’s new prepaid plans leaked out before today, but the official unveiling is here. Unleashed is the name of Verizon’s new service for customers looking to go the prepaid route. For $50 a month, you can get unlimited minutes, texts and mobile web. There are also a few more options for those who would rather pay according to how much they use their phone instead of opting for an unlimited plan.
