32GB Cowon S9 PMP now available with Amazon

Looking for another decent option when it comes to a portable media player? Well Amazon has just listed the latest, or should I say largest Cowon S9 PMP. Lenovo’s IdeaPad S9 netbook now available in the US

Lenovo has just announced the US availability of the IdeaPad S9 netbook. However it does not seem like it will attract the same attention as the slightly larger S10 has found. As for features, the S9 has an 8.9-inch display with a 1024 x 600 resolution, a 1.6GHz Intel Atom N270 processor, 512MB RAM and a 4GB SSD. In addition it is running Linpus Linux Lite and weighs in at 2.4-pounds.

Another important item to point out is the overall measurements, (more on this to follow) which come in at 9.8 x 7.2 x 1-inches. The IdeaPad S9 also features Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g, Ethernet, Bluetooth, a 0.3-megapixel webcam, stereo speakers, two USB ports, built in card reader, ExpressCard slot and a VGA output.

Cowon announces release date for S9 and O2

Lenovo’s S9, S10 IdeaPads hit the FCC

This latest FCC showing comes not as not much of a surprise, but seems to almost be a formality, a right of passage so to speak. We have already seen the IdeaPad S9 and S10 a few times, but at least this listing makes them a little more official.

An interesting item to note that has come from this particular listing is that it covers both the S9 and S10 IdeaPad, and it also has just one User Guide, which just goes to show how little difference there will be between the two models. The main difference of course would be the display size. The S9 has an 8.9-inch display while the S10 has the slightly larger 10-inch display.

Otherwise things seem pretty standard here although there is a nice “hard drive/RAM panel” on the bottom of the notebooks, which would lead one to believe that both of those items will be easily serviced by the end-user. Keep reading to check out a few of the dissection images…

Lenovo makes the IdeaPad S9 official, for the Hong Kong market

Lenovo has just offered up an official site detailing the pricing and specs of their new IdeaPad Lite S9 netbook. They have also done something a little unique with the netbook, of course I am not sure how many buyers would take advantage of the offer, but hey at least its different. Lenovo has decided more »
