Samsung’s newest netbook – the N110

It’s always nice to start the week with the sighting of a decent product; so kudos to Samsung for helping us do just that. Their new N110 is a redesign with a few extra boosts of their previous NC10. And it seems they kept what worked, and styled up what could use it.

Some lucky soul over at Laptop Magazine apparently already got their mitts on this baby, and gave it a full review. It seems as though the new N110 has the same insides as its big brother the NC10 — you’ve got a 1.6 GHz Intel Atom processor, a 160GB hard drive, 1GB RAM, and it runs on Windows XP Home.

Samsung also followed the adage “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” when it came time to the keyboard. The keys are still a nice size at 93% of standard size, and are raised. Buttons are all where they should be, and the right shift is full-size.

Samsung NC20 netbook details beginning to leak

Some details are beginning to leak out on the Samsung NC20, which is the follow up to the NC10. The NC20 is expected to feature a 12.1-inch display, 1GB of RAM, a 160GB hard drive, Wi-Fi more »

Samsung announces the “anti-bacterial” 10-inch NC10 netbook

Samsung has officially tossed their hat into the netbook market and introduced the NC10. Overall, the NC10 features a pretty standard set of specs, but it does seem that Samsung is trying some creative marketing to make it at least seem a little more appealing.

According to Samsung the NC10 was developed for the “kinetic elite” and was “expertly crafted so you can achieve even more on the move – and still look good!” They go on to further mention just how durable the NC10 will be due to the “ultra durable Protect-o-Edge” casing that it is made from. It has even had the “normal-size” keyboard sprinkled with “incredibly small, nano-sized silver ion powder” in an effort to keep any bacteria from living and breeding.
