Guide to Motorola’s Android event: Moto is back

Yesterday, invitations went out to press and analysts with Google’s lovable Android mascot featured on it for an event in San Francisco on Septemeber 10, 2009. The question is no longer if Motorola will build an Android phone, but how many? Motorola could use a win since falling off after their RAZR phones and rumor has it their hopes are pegged on Android phones.

Google’s Android is finally starting to make a significant showing in numbers we expected a while ago. HTC has been showing Android phones with a custom UI that looks very slick, in typical HTC fashion. It will be interesting to see if Motorola has applied a custom UI as well.
