RIM doesn’t expect to sell as many BlackBerry PlayBooks as it hoped
The bad news streak continues for RIM. The company’s products aren’t doing so well in the United States due to stiff competition from the likes of iOS, Android and Windows Phone 7 devices. BlackBerry smartphones are coming off as relics of a bygone era. The BlackBerry PlayBook definitely had the potential to be one of the top selling tablets in the market, but glaring omissions such as a native email application set the PlayBook way back. Due to falling PlayBook sales, RIM has decreased the number of tablets it expects to sell.
Eee Pad Transformer sell outs were due to limited supplies
