Treo Pro gets removed from the Palm website
With the Palm Pre, and later the Pixi taking center stage with webOS, its no surprise that older Palm models including the Treo Pro have been taking a back seat. But still there is something to be said about seeing one of those models lose its dedicated page on the Palm website. The latest model more »
Palm to stop making Windows Mobile devices
Palm announced it will no longer make Windows Mobile devices. Instead it will concentrate on its new webOS. Their current offering, the Palm Pre, runs it and has generated both praise and criticism. Most love the OS itself but are less pleased with the build quality of the device. Numerous complaints about the touchscreen and more »
AT&T requiring Treo 680 users to upgrade their firmware
It was once upon a time, well actually more like December 2007 when Palm announced the last firmware update for the AT&T branded Treo 680 and since then it seems that some users have chosen to not update. Put it this way, that update came so long ago that one of the features that it more »
Verizon Wireless rumored release schedule for 2009, early 2010
It would appear as if the upcoming release schedule for Verizon Wireless has been revealed. It is important to point out that at this time, the following list should be considered nothing more than a rumor, however that aside, the list is not all that exciting — except for the BlackBerry Storm 2. What we more »

Palm Treo Pro officially available with Sprint
Despite the numerous false starts and delays, the Palm Treo Pro is now available for purchase. Of course, I am not sure if this will mean good news or bad news for Palm, considering the Palm Treo Pro, or Palm Pro is not the hot fancy handset that everyone has been waiting for, and the more »
Don’t want a Pre? How about a Palm Pro instead?
Despite the numerous delays surrounding the Palm PRO, it has once again surfaced with what appears to be an actual availability time frame. According to a March circular for Best Buy Mobile it looks like those waiting will be able to make a purchase beginning as early as February 22.
Keep in mind, the Palm PRO is heading to Sprint, so be prepared to sign a two-year agreement. As far as the pricing, new customers can grab the PRO for $249.99 and current customers that are eligible for an upgrade will have to shell out $269.99.
Is this the new Palm Nova phone? iPhone killer name dusted off?
The phone is described as “iPhone like” which worries me, but I am willing to give them the benefit of the doubt here. Palm itself has been ratcheting up our expectations for the launch and we are told it will blow our minds and revolutionize the phone biz. I hate myself for believing this just a little bit. If there was ever a time for Palm to shine, this is surely it.
Rumor Confirmed: Palm Treo Pro heading to Sprint in January
Thanks to a leaked lineup sheet, we are getting some confirmation that the earlier rumor about the Palm Treo Pro coming to Sprint is indeed accurate.
We have yet to see the official announcement so the details are limited, however we know the availability date will be January 25 and that it will be replacing the Palm Treo 800w. Still unknown is any pricing information, we do know that the Treo Pro sells unlocked for $549, but we can expect a subsidy to bring that down a bit. Hopefully we will see something in the mid $2xx price range.
