TSA cracks down on gadget use while in flight

Solo CheckFast unveils netbook sized TSA-approved messenger bag
Netbook users will now be able to make their way through the airport just a little quicker thanks to a smaller sized TSA-friendly messenger bag. The Netbook Instant messenger bag comes courtesy of Solo CheckFast and is designed for netbooks of 11-inches and smaller. Of course, with the smaller size of the bag, you will have less room for extra goodies, but that combined with the typical lower weight of the netbooks may actually be another benefit.
Briggs & Riley unveil four new TSA friendly laptop bags
Briggs & Riley Travelware have just announced a few new options that should help you get through that dreaded TSA checkpoint a little quicker. A total of four new cases were unveiled and they offer a wide range of options, they have the @work SpeedThru Computer Sleeve, the @work SpeedThru Briefcase, the Verb Mach SpeedThru Briefcase and the Verb Sonic SpeedThru Computer Sleeve — each of which offer a “checkpoint friendly” design.
As far as features and pricing, the @work SpeedThru Computer Sleeve is the lowest priced coming in at $49 to $69 depending on size. This sleeve is available to fit a 13, 15.4, or 17-inch laptop and is made from a lightweight fabric with a fleece lining on the interior. Moving up from there, we have the Verb Sonic SpeedThru Computer Sleeve which retails for $53 to $57, again the price is dependent on size. The Verb Sonic SpeedThru Computer Sleeve is made of a durable neoprene fabric. Both of these computer sleeves are made to either be used as a standalone sleeve or in combination with some of the larger Briggs & Riley cases.

Clear losses, later finds laptop with with 33,000 applicants data
Clear, a company that is in existence to cater to frequent travelers who are willing to give up quite a bit of personal information and pay $100 per year to be able to fast pass those long security lines recently had a nice security scare. One that we can only hope will teach them a good lesson in security.
Clear had recently reported a laptop stolen at the San Francisco Airport, what sounds like a common occurrence in today’s world where it seems just about everyone has a laptop, except this one in particular had the personal information for 33,000 applicants and to make matters worse, the data was not in any way encrypted.
Delta Airlines becomes latest to accept cell phone as boarding pass
Joining Continental Airlines and Northwest Airlines, Delta has become the latest to announce plans to begin accepting a cell phone or PDA as a boarding pass.
