Twitter scoops up TweetDeck for $40 million
It was initially reported at the beginning of May that Twitter was buying TweetDeck and now it has been confirmed by several sources. Twitter has acquired Tweetdeck for $40 million in cash and stock. According to CNN Money, the paperwork for making the deal official was signed on Monday. An official announcement is expected to be announced very soon.

TweetDeck for iPhone is new and improved
TweetDeck users with an iPhone or iPod Touch can download a completely new version of the app right now. TweetDeck 2.0 is its name, and it brings a new interface to the table. This isn’t an update to the original TweetDeck, so you’ll have to install the new one separately. The first TweetDeck has been temporarily removed from the App Store to prevent confusion.
