Republic Wireless unlimited plan does have some limitations
Republic Wireless has finally revealed the details regarding its new Wi-Fi reliant mobile phone plans. Republic Wireless will use the LG Optimus to test its theory that the majority of people will use Wi-Fi to handle everyday tasks such as making calls, texting and browsing the web. Since customers will be using an assortment of Wi-Fi connections, they aren’t limited to how much they can use their phones in a given month. Once the Wi-Fi connections are lost, Republic Wireless expects customers to become more mindful of their consumption habits.
Sprint is taking away unlimited data for hotspots and mobile broadband devices
Sprint is once again making changes to its service plans. Although it is the only nationwide major carrier to offer a real unlimited plan for smartphones, it will not be extending that courtesy for all of its data devices any longer. Starting in November, Sprint will no longer offer unlimited data plans for mobile broadband devices or wireless hotspots created by its smartphones.
T-Mobile teams with Walmart for $30 prepaid 4G plan
T-Mobile customers will have another prepaid option available to them on October 16. By joining forces with Walmart, T-Mobile will have a monthly 4G prepaid plan that places an emphasis on data and messaging at the expense of anytime minutes. For $30 a month, customers can get unlimited text, unlimited web and 100 voice minutes. This plan will be available at Walmart stores, Walmart’s website and T-Mobile’s website.

New AT&T customers will soon find themselves unable to take part in the carrier’s $10 a month for 1000 text messaging plan. Starting on August 21, that plan will be going away. Those who already use this rate plan will see it grandfathered when the big day comes.
