Palm Pre bits: GSM version in Vietnam, webOS updated to 1.0.4 and a landscape mode for email hack
Here we are with another selection of Palm Pre related news, and first things first, a GSM version has been spotted. Just recently a video has surfaced showing off a GSM version of the Palm Pre. Of course, we knew that such a model would eventually be released, however this one seems to have come from out of nowhere. What does this mean in terms of a release, unfortunately nothing. That said, it is nice to see that at least one is out there though. Here is hoping that we see a release of the GSM Pre sometime before the year is out, preferably in the form of an unlocked handset as opposed to being tied to a specific carrier.

Hacao’s Classmate PC now arriving in Vietnam
The Classmate PC has begun to arrive in users hands, currently making its way to Vietnam the OLPC and Eee PC competitor seems to be a pretty nice offering. Being sold under the Hacao name the Classmate PC features a 7-inch (800×480) display, 900MHz processor, 256MB of RAM, 1GB of flash storage, and 802.11b/g Wi-Fi. more »
