LG shows off 2009 product line-up at CES

Now I’m going to tell you LG’s booth was big… and you’re just going to have to take my word for it. LG was showing off all of their latest and greatest which were annonced at yesterday’s press conference. The line-up includes yet another sneak peek at the LG Watch Phone prototype, Wireless HD, TruMotion 240Hz displays, and the new LHX wireless and “super slim 1080p HDTV.

Other notable products at their booth are the LG Prada 2, Swarovski crystal Bluetooth headset, LG Dare, and their entire line-up of new HDTVs. Which as you’ll see in the gallery is far too many to list out. Hit up the gallery below and let us know what you think of LG’s new 2009 products.

Up close and personal with the LG Watch Phone

At yesterday’s LG press conference, the company announced plans to launch their touch-screen Watch Phone later this year. Today, we got to take a closer look, and are liking what we saw. We do however have a few concerns about the performance of the device.

Do you need to hold the watch up to your face to talk on the phone?

Apparently not. The company claims if you hold your arm down at your side, the microphone will pick it up, and you will be able to hear the person on the other end. I am very skeptical of this, but until I try it, I’ll cautiously take their word for it.

Is a watch really supposed to replace your mobile phone?

I suppose the answer to this one is yes since the device is a full-featured phone. It seems a little silly to me to do everything on a screen as small as a watch, but if they can make the experience usable, then it does have possibilities.
