Vudu streaming content can now be viewed on Walmart.com
Vudu is a service that streams movies and television shows. It’s owned by Walmart, so it has a lot of muscle behind it. Vudu doesn’t require any subscriptions, so customers are free to rent or purchase one piece of content at a time. Vudu is currently available on a number of devices, but it has found a new home on Walmart’s website.
Microsoft accidently reveals new social project
Microsoft accidentally posted information on a web site detailing a new service called Tulalip. By definition, Tulalip is the name of a Native American group that is located in Washington. Microsoft is also headquartered in Washington, so Tulalip could just be a codename for the service.
Netflix website gets redesigned
When you stroll over to the Netflix website, you’ll notice that it has undergone a bit of a change. The new Netflix interface was designed to put more attention on Netflix’s Watch Instantly options for movies and television shows. If you want to see the old Netflix interface, you can only see it in the “Browse DVDs” portion of the site.
Sony Ericsson gets hacked too
You already know where this story is going. The Hacker News again reports that the Sony Ericsson Canadian eShop website was hacked by a Lebanese hacker who goes by Idahc. Just like the Sony Music Japan and Sony BMG Greece website hacks, Idach used a SQL injection to obtain personal data of around 2,000 customers. Idahc, just like the previous database hackers, posted the contents of the database on pastebin.com. At this time, the contents of the database are no longer on the website.

These days it just wouldn’t seem like a normal day without reporting on how hackers managed to bypass Sony’s security. Yesterday we told you about the break-in into the Sony BMG Greece website which was preceeded by a hack into So-net. Before that, a PSN password reset exploit was discovered after the PlayStation Network returned following a nearly four week hiatus. The latest attack occurred on the Sony Music Japan website. Just like the last attack, this hack was made possible by a SQL injection tool.
Hacker breaks into Sony BMG Greece website
Sony just can’t seem to catch a break. The company has become a big target following the PlayStation Network breach. Shortly after PSN was restored, Sony had fallen victim to an exploit that could have been used to change PSN passwords. Shortly after that, hackers broken into the Sony-owned internet provider known as So-net. The hacker(s) made off with $1,225 in gift points and some 90 email addresses. The latest Sony-got-hacked story deals with Sony BMG in Greece.
