Rumor: Lenovo leaks new ThinkPad’s, some to accompany X300
One of the more, innovative laptops in recent days, the Lenovo X300 is about to get some company with the new ThinkPad line-up. By September, we should be seeing the X200, X400, and the X500, all to accompany the popular X300. Now, all three of these laptops will feature HSDPA and EVDO, sport a 25% better battery life and 6MB L2 cache, all guaranteed to please just about everyone. The differences between these new laptops is that the X200 will be sporting a 12-inch screen, the X400 has a 14.1-inch screen and the X500 has a 15.4-inch screen.
Next, we have the Lenovo R-Series, which doesn’t seem to come with a whole lot details, but will be your basic Lenovo laptops. The 2 models of the R-Series that we know of so far are the R400 and the R500. They weigh 5.1 pounds and 6.4 pounds, respectively. These new laptops are slated to be on sale sometime in July of 2008, and no word on pricing.

With a lot of anticipation and speculation in the lead up to this release it seems that the X300 lives up to just about everything you could have hoped for. The new ultra-portable from Lenovo, the ThinkPad X300 features a 13.3-inch LED backlit display, a 1.2 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor, 1GB RAM, 64GB SSD, running Windows XP Professional and range in weight from 2.9 to 3.1 pounds with a variety of available connectivity options. Pricing will begin at $2,548 and go up depending on configuration.

With an overall positive review, Walt Mossberg claims the X300 is “a solid, innovative laptop that will be perfect for many mobile PC users.” Making the obvious comparison to its rival, the X300 seems to have a little more to offer feature wise as compared to the MacBook Air, with a few downfalls coming from the operating system and battery life.

Lenovo’s ThinkPad X300 laptop now confirmed
While we still are yet to see an official announcement from Lenovo, the X300 ThinkPad has now been confirmed. Once again the leak and confirmation comes courtesy of Best Buy with a listing for the Lenovo “Topseller” x300 that will retail for $2,743.99.
The X300 features an LED backlit 13.3-inch display, 2.0GHz Santa Rosa Dual Core processor, 2GB RAM, 64GB SSD and running Windows XP Pro. While the X300 appears to be a legitimate model that will be available for sale, it is still unclear as to when it will ship.
