Amazon offers free Xbox 360 for students buying PCs
A week after Microsoft announced its free Xbox 360s for students initiative, Amazon has stepped in with a similar offer. The Xbox 360 up for grabs is still the the 4GB model. This promotion will run all the way until September 3, 2011 which is the same day Microsoft’s promotion ends. It’s just a matter of who you want to do business with.
Microsoft offers free Xbox 360 to students with strings attached
Students are wrapping up the school year right now, but Microsoft wants to make sure it reaches into their pockets before the new school year starts up again. Starting on May 22, Microsoft will give students who purchase a new Windows 7 computer priced over $699 a free Xbox 360. The Xbox 360 in question is the 4GB model. Sorry, no Kinect bundle for students this time. This offer will remain valid until September 3, 2011.
