Yahoo 360 to close on July 13

Yahoo has announced that the long delayed closing of its Yahoo 360 social networking service will now happen on July 13th. Yahoo 360 opened with great fanfare in 2005 and was hoped to become a serious competitor to MySpace and Facebook, but it never happened. The site’s closure was first announced in 2007 and pushed several times in 2008. Finally however, the service will officially be shut down.

Users will be transitioned to the new Yahoo Profiles service. Keep reading for more details.
