Hulu’s new feature: Hulu Friends

Hulu is celebrating its one-year anniversary. Has it been that long already? Hulu has put together something for its users with its “Fan Appreciation” days starting today. Every weekday up to March 20th, Hulu will be unveiling new features and/or content.

Today, Hulu has set up something called “Hulu Friends.” Hulu says you can “See what your friends are doing on Hulu.” To access this feature you have to go to your profile and click the “Friends” tab.

After you agree to allow Hulu to publish your name as your first name and last initial, you can import contact information from Gmail, Facebook, MSN Hotmail, MySpace, Yahoo Mail or you can use your friend’s e-mail or real name. It’s a pretty straight forward procedure. If you’ve ever added friends in Facebook, you’ll get how to do this.

Expect for that to all change now that the BigString Corporation has launched their universal e-mail tracking service.

Palin hacker indicted

A federal grand jury has indicted the man accused of hacking into Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin’s e-mail account. 20 year old David Kernell turned himself into authorities earlier this week. The University of Tennessee student is the son of Tennessee state Rep. Mike Kernell, who happens to be a Democrat.

Authorities say Kernell hacked Palin’s account last month by exploiting Yahoo’s password recovery system after the Alaska governor’s e-mail address was revealed in earlier news stories. Some of the accounts contents were posted on an infamous hacker site called 4Chan and eventually made their way to the media.

Hackers hit Sarah Palin’s e-mail account

Time Magazine is reporting that vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin’s e-mail account was accessed by hackers. The Wikileaks website has published several screenshots of messages and other data hackers claim they got from one of Palin’s two Yahoo accounts. Palin had already been receiving criticism about her e-mail account after it was revealed she had been using them to conduct government business in an attempt to avoid compliancy and archive requirements, which happens to be a crime.
