Sony Ericsson intro’s Z770 clamshell
Being touted as ‘your life in a clamshell’ the new Z770 seems to offer just that. Sony Ericsson’s newest clamshell style handset offers a great option for those looking for an easy to use web and email experience without having a full featured smartphone. The Z770 takes advantage of HSDPA speeds and can also be used (via USB cable) as a modem when attached to your laptop. As for the easy web and email the Z770 has an “email set-up wizard” with support for Exchange ActiveSync, along with “intuitive navigation features for fast web browsing.” The web browsing on the Z770 is via the Access NetFront browser with Google Maps for mobile pre-installed and built-in support for RSS feeds.
In addition to the web and email the Z770 features a 2.2-inch 240 x 320 display, 2-megapixel camera with digital zoom, video recording, Bluetooth A2DP and speakerphone. The Z770 will be available during Q2 2008 in your choice of Vogue Red, Graphite Black or Exquisite Gold, no mention of pricing.
