Steam Greenlight is the best possible thing out there for indie developers, as it’s giving their unknown games plenty of attention and the chance to get on a major retailer without going through some publisher or service who’s going to give them a lot of trouble and hassle. It’s always exciting to see when one of these Steam Greenlight games braves the gauntlet and comes out a winner. Since a whopping 21 new games were just announced on October 15, 2012, there’s a lot for gamers and indie developers to celebrate.
We don’t know when these recently greenlit Steam Greenlight games will get added to the store, but let’s look through the list and get excited about it anyways.
Go Giana Sisters, Octodad and NeoTokyo! I voted for all three of those. Do you see any games you supported up there? It looks like a good batch!
Though honestly, I’m not quite sure how I feel about Postal 2 Complete being on the list of recently approved games. It’s not an indie title. You can get Postal 2 from Amazon or other major retailers. It’s almost like Postal 2 took a spot from a more deserving indie game.
