Back in August, a company called PlayMG started a Kickstarter campaign for the MG. The MG is a dedicated Android gaming device with a 4-inch display. PlayMG was looking for $950,000 in funding on Kickstarter, but only received a little over $40,000. Even though the Kickstarter wasn’t successful, the MG will begin shipping to customers during the first week of November.

No one who made a contribution to the Kickstarter campaign will be charged, but they can still purchase a MG for $149.99 from its official website or Amazon. Each order will come pre-loaded with $10 worth of games, a $20 8GB microSD card and an offer to receive a $10 SpendSmart prepaid MasterCard.

The MG is meant to be used by children who are used to playing games on their parent’s smartphone. It runs Ice Cream Sandwich, contains 1GB of RAM and has a 1.3-megapixel front camera. It also has access to the Google suite of apps such as Google Play, Gmail and Google Maps.
