I can’t believe it. I honestly thought this day would never come. I didn’t think it would happen. I thought Anarchy Reigns‘s delay meant the game would never see a worldwide release. I mean, vague release windows, multiple delays and all of this happening even though the localization was already complete and the game was finished. Sega has come through, and we’ll actually see Anarchy Reigns released worldwide in January 2013.
Anarchy Reigns is a Platinum Games brawler featuring a cast of colorful characters, including ones from MadWorld and Bayonetta, beating up both mutants and each other in the hopes of obtaining honor and glory. There are single and multiplayer modes, with the biggest allowing as many as 16 players to fight it out and see who’s the best or work together to destroy mutants. Okay, it’s mainly about the multiplayer experience, but you can still enjoy Anarchy Reigns even if you’re sitting at home alone and the internet goes down.
So here’s when you get to play this PS3 and Xbox 360 game. North America gets Max Anarchy first on January 8, 2013 and will pay only $29.99 for it. Europe has to wait a whole three days and gets it on January 11, 2013 for €29.99. It’s fantastic news, as it means we get a great game at a ridiculous price. Not to mention it’s better than the prior release date estimate. Last we heard, it had a general Q1 2013 release.
This has got to hurt people who imported Max Anarchy though, as they probably spent at least $60 or $70 on it. That exchange rate is murder. If only they’d waited almost a year – they could have had it at a bargain bin price.
