GameStop revealed its plans to open temporary stores in malls across the country. These stores are called GameStop Kids, and they will sell games and gaming-related items the company believes kids will enjoy. 80 stores are expected to open by mid-November. The first store had its grand opening today in Grapevine, TX.
GameStop Kids will sell items from popular brands such as Angry Birds, Minecraft, Star Wars and Hello Kitty. Some of these items are already sold in GameStop’s main stores, but GameStop Kids will have a lot more inventory for things such as plushies, toys and accessories.
GameStop Kids will be spread out across more than two dozen states. A full list of locations is posted on its website. If you don’t live near a GameStop Kids store, you’ll still be able to make purchases online.
