Wreck-It Ralph may have a hard time trying to earn a medal to prove he’s a hero in Wreck-It Ralph, but it might not be so hard for him to win in Sonic & All Stars: Racing Transformed. He’s one of the star racers there, as clearly the Sega “All Stars” recognize he’s good even though he’s bad. Well, that and Sega probably included him because characters like Sonic, Dr. Robotnik, Cyril and Neff showed up in Wreck-It Ralph.
A crossover like this seems natural, what with Ralph being a pretend video game character. Plus we know Ralph is known for game jumping and has an affinity for kart racers. So seeing him in Sonic & All Stars: Racing Transformed is only natural. In fact, as this new trailer proves, he’s a perfect fit.
I like how they tweaked one of Ralph’s lines from the movie for the trail. “I’m not a bad guy but, on occasion, I am a bad racer.”
Know what would make this even better? If Felix had a cameo too as a member of Ralph’s pit crew! That’d be a nice extra. Except kart racers don’t have pit crews. If they did, Sega would have had to included him too.
Wreck-It Ralph is now in theaters throughout the US. Sonic & All Stars: Racing Transformed is not. It has an assortment of release dates, depending on which platform you own. The Wii U gets it when it launches on November 18, 2012. Two days later, it shows up on the PS3 and Xbox 360. If you own a 3DS or Vita, you have to wait almost a month more until December 11, 2012. On the plus side, handheld owners will know ahead of time from the previous releases if Sonic & All Stars: Racing Transformed is worth buying.
