Zavvi and ShopTo (the two retailers in question) have pegged the Metal Gear Solid 4 25th Anniversary Edition re-release at a drop date of November 30, 2012. Obviously, that’s a full week after Black Friday 2012, so it remains to be seen whether that’s just a placeholder or the actual street date. Considering we don’t have anything from Konami at the moment or any information on extra additions thereof, we’ll just have to go with the available information, plus a small load of salt, until we know for sure.
As for pricing, this could go either way (or absolutely nowhere) since the price tags have a hefty split between them in decidedly British terms at £37.45 and £19.99, respectively. ShopTo is even willing to slash the Metal Gear Solid 4 25th Anniversary Edition price tag down to size for a minimal duration, bringing it down to £15.85 for an indeterminate duration.
We’ll be keeping an eye on the Metal Gear Solid 4 25th Anniversary Edition, both to determine if it’s for real and when it will appear. The second Konami releases information, you’ll know.
