Waiting for Grand Theft Auto V? Don’t worry. An old favorite is here to keep you busy. Rockstar Games has just announced the Grand Theft Auto: Vice City 10th Anniversary Edition is going to be released on handheld devices on December 6, 2012. So break out the Android tablets and iOS devices, because you’re going back to the 80’s and exploring Vice City in two weeks.
The Grand Theft Auto: Vice City 10th Anniversary Edition isn’t big on new content. It’s more about offering various tweaks to make the game look good and play well on tablets and smartphones. For example, it still has high resolution graphics, but also has improved character models, better lighting and Retina display support. It will also allow players to decide how they want controls laid out on their devices to make playing easier. You know how difficult virtual control pads can be. The finishing touch is improved shooting, which will be a bit easier and forgiving so people who hate virtual control pads can still manage to enjoy themselves.
If you’re interested, rest assured that Grand Theft Auto: Vice City 10th Anniversary Edition won’t break the bank. It’s only going to cost $4.99. At that price, it’s a steal. Rockstar Games is practically giving it away, compared to what Square Enix likes to charge for its Android/iOS ports.
