Reminiscent of the original GameBoy Color announcement, Nintendo is releasing a DS with the Color moniker (at least for marketing purposes). The DS Color is not really a new DS, just the same ol’ DS Lite with a new color scheme. Here is Nintendo’s description of the color scheme:
The top half of the new Nintendo DS sports a smooth, glossy Crimson, reminiscent of a dangerous shade of lipstick or a cherry-red sports car. The bottom is a matte black – an Onyx yin that complements the Crimson yang.
As an added bonus, the new Brain Age 2: More Training in Minutes a Day puzzle game will be bundled with the Crimson/Onyx colored DS for $149.99 when it is released on August 21, 2007. Brain Age 2, like its predecessor, features quick, minigame style puzzles with an 15 additional activities meant to help stimulate your brain and improve your contrived Brain Age ranking. You solve math problems, read and perform other quick tasks.
Brain Age 2 has already sold 5.3 million copies in Japan.
