Double Fine’s Amnesia Fortnight event has completed its first major phase. Over the course of the previous week, fans were able to donate and choose the four games they wanted to see Double Fine prototype. 75,065 votes have been cast, and Double Fine is set to begin streaming the development process of four games today at 2pm PST.
Here are the top voted games and a synopsis of them all.
Hack n’ Slash – A dungeon crawler that replaces traditional items with real game hacks that serve to progress the game.
Spacebase DF-9 – A space station simulation game that involves building a society. It’s compared to The Sims and Dwarf Fortress.
The White Birch – A platformer involving a girl’s quest to reach the top of a birch tree to escape a forest. It’s compared to Ico and Journey. It appears to be a deep game with different endings that are open to interpretation.
Autonomous – A first-person sandbox game where players create automatons. The automatons can’t be directly controlled, so you’ll have to live with the consequences of your creations.
