Last night, on Cartoon Network, a new PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale commercial appeared during Adult Sim. It wasn’t another live-action extravaganza. It was something a bit more, well, unique. Seth Green’s Robot Chicken was tapped to create a new trailer, and so it did by creating a one minute skit showing what happens behind the scenes when the fighters take a break.

Let’s go ahead and see the Robot Chicken take on PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale.

I like how the actual gameplay was recreated using the various figures. It was a nice touch. As for cameos, we saw Kratos and Nathan talking about being beaten by a common enemy, Sweet Tooth trying to make a breakthrough with Colonel Radec and Nariko hitting on Jak as Daxter stood by and watched. Sackboy makes an appearance at the end as well.

So, what do you think? Do you approve? I think it’s more effective than the official trailer, honestly, because it gives people a chance to see their favorite characters a little more clearly, does a good job of showing what gameplay is like and mentions the PS3/Vita Cross-Buy promotion.
