Five Borderlands 2 Golden Keys will be given away this weekend

Sometimes I wonder how much money Gearbox could make if it sold Golden Keys for Borderlands 2 for $1 a piece. I’m guessing a lot. Fortunately, Gearbox has not gone down that path. Instead, it has been giving away Golden Keys on Facebook and Twitter since the game’s release. Starting this Friday (November 30) and into Saturday, Gearbox will give away SHiFT codes for five Borderlands 2 Golden Keys for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC on the Borderlands Facebook page and the Gearbox Software Twitter account.

Gearbox says each code will last for three hours. These codes can only be used once per account, but thousands of individuals will be able to redeem them at once. Cross your fingers in the hopes you’ll get something legendary. Here is the schedule.

Friday, November 30 – Post at 6PM CT, Active until 9PM CT
Friday, November 30 – Post at 11PM CT, Active until 2AM CT
Saturday, December 1 – Post at 5AM CT, Active until 8AM CT
Saturday, December 1 – Post at 11AM CT, Active until 2PM CT
Saturday, December 1 – Post at 3PM CT, Active until 6PM CT
