Red Bull Crashed Ice is the latest Kinect game in the Xbox Live Arcade. Five downhill tracks are waiting for you to show what you’ve got. Lean into the curves, jump hazards and pull off tracks in locales from the real life Crashed Ice circuit. Bongfish, the developers of snowboarding title Stoked, put this one together. It’s only 400 Microsoft Points ($5) so this could be worth a try if you’re into winter games.
Sega has had recently had more success mining its old franchises than creating new entries. This week Sega digs back into its fighting history for three old school releases. Virtua Fighter 2 stood out because it wasn’t about fireballs, tactical nukes or any of the other crazy stuff in most fighting games. There are plenty of devastating moves, but they are actual punches and kicks. This game is 400 MP.
Now back to the world of fighters that are a little weirder. Fighting Vipers has a cast that includes a roller blader and a metal guitarist. The updated version of this includes all nine original characters and online room play for up to 6 players. It’s 400 MP.
Sonic The Fighters reminds of how long and hard our favorite hedgehog has worked for Sega. Dr. Robotnik and Metal Sonic are up to their evil tricks, trying to unleash the Death Egg II. Like the other classic fighters in this collection, it’s 400 MP.
Games on Demand adds Dungeon Siege 3 for $19.99, Warriors: Legends of Troy, Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom and Silent Hill HD Connection for $29.99 each. Transformers: Fall of Cybertron is $59.99.
