The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth is one of those projects that keeps popping up lately. It was confirmed in August that the game would likely find a home on the consoles made by Sony and Microsoft. This week, creator Edmund McMillen shared even more details on his blog including a confirmation that The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth is coming to the PS3 and Vita.
As previously reported, Nicalis is handling both developmental and publishing duties for The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth. Nicalis is currently discussing possible porting plans with Microsoft and Nintendo. There are also plans to make an iOS version of the game, but McMillen insisted that will only happen “if its [sic] not garbage.”
McMillen isn’t completely sitting this one out. He is taking on the role of lead designer for the entire project.
Development on The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth is scheduled to begin at the very beginning of 2013, but it won’t get released until the end of 2013.
