Bethesda has not done a good job of maintaining the quality of Skyrim on PS3. In the early days of its release, Skyrim was subject to game-breaking bugs on the PS3 such as incredibly low framerates. Once that was sorted out, PS3 players were not able to purchase any of Skyrim‘s downloadable content due to technical problems on Bethesda’s end. We still don’t know when Dawnguard or Hearthfire will make its way to PS3, but Bethesda is saying Dragonborn will be available on both the PS3 and PC in early 2013.
That’s where the announcement ends unfortunately. Early 2013 could mean January or maybe even March. At this point, we have no choice but to take Bethesda’s word with a grain of salt. Unless we see Dawnguard and or Hearthfire released for PS3, I don’t have confidence that Dragonborn will be released on time if at all.
If you’re fortunate enough to own the superior version of Skyrim on Xbox 360, Dragonborn will be available to you on December 4 for 1600 Microsoft Points.
