We’re expecting to see plenty of bundled deals for consoles and handhelds as the end of the holiday season approaches. One such bundle is currently being offered at Target. The retailer is selling a 250GB PS3 Epic Mickey: The Power of Two bundle for $299. The bundle also includes PlayStation Move, the PlayStation Eye camera and the Navigation controller.
Let’s examine how good of a deal this is. Similar PS3 bundles are being sold at other retailers such as Best Buy and GameStop for between $269-$299. Those bundles include games such as Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception for $269, or Medal of Honor: Warfighter and God of War Saga for $299. PlayStation Move is still selling for around $40, the Navigation controller is $30 and the PlayStation Eye camera sells for around $30 as well. Those accessories alone retail for around $100 if you don’t find a good sale. Once you throw in $60 for Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two, you’re saving a pretty penny.
The only thing you have to ask yourself is whether you want the PlayStation Move suite of accessories. They are pretty neat for a little while, but don’t be surprised if they start picking up dust after months of not being used.
