Yesterday we saw the new Soul Sacrifice Vita bundle and lamented how Japan always get all the cool systems. Prepare for round two of that. Another custom bundle has been announced for Japan and like the Soul Sacrifice Vita, the Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance PS3 is pretty sweet.
The Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance PS3 bundle is cool in a subtle sort of way. It incldes a copy of Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, naturally, and a PS3 and DualShock 3 controller that have a Revengeance-feel. The PS3 is a 250GB model and is two-toned, with the main colors being black and navy blue. There are also some designs on the black portions, but it’s hard to make out what they are in the glamour-shots. The DualShock 3 almost looks like it has a black and navy-blue camo print to it, but the design is so subtle that it’s hard to tell.
People also get two downloads with the Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance PS3 bundle. There’s a Cyborg Ninja Raiden skin that can be applied to him in the game. There’s also a Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance PS3 theme so the system can be a true example of Revengeance.
Now, you’re probably wondering how much a bundle like this costs. It will be ¥31,960 (~$390) when it is released on February 21, 2013. So if you want to import it, which is absolutely possible since this is a region-free system and you can set the system language to English during the initial setup, you should start saving your money. Maybe look into placing a pre-order as well. These special systems go fast.
And yes, I’ll admit that adding the “and we don’t” to the headline for this story is a bit premature. I think it’s fine though, since we never get these special, extra cool PS3s. They always stay locked away in Japan.
