At E3 2012 there were two big BioShock Infinite PS3 tidbits dropped. One was that the game would have Move support for the 200 odd people out there who actually own the PlayStation Move. The other is that BioShock would be included on the BioShock Infinite Blu-ray. Well, both of those tidbits are still true, but only in North America. 2K Games will only be coming through on both of those promises in one region.
The news just broke today at Videogamer. That’s when it was revealed that only people who are in North America get BioShock with their BioShock Infinite. If you live in any other region, you’re out of luck. You’ll either have to import the North American copy or live without.
Not that it’s really worth importing just for the extra copy of BioShock. I mean, if you look hard enough, you can find BioShock for the PS3 for $9.99. If it means that much to you, wait a few months until the BioShock Infinite price drops and then get both games.
The wait for BioShock Infinite is almost over. It’ll be released everywhere for the PS3, Xbox 360 and Windows on February 26, 2013 for $59.99. Only the PS3 version has motion control support and BioShock though, so keep that in mind when deciding which one to grab. I’d almost say go for that and grab PlayStation Plus now, because BioShock 2 is currently part of the Instant Game Collection on the PS3.
