Fresh off its Halloween update comes another seasonal experience in The Simpsons: Tapped Out. EA released Christmas themed update for the game today which makes a lot of the same changes that occurred during Halloween. You’ll see new characters such as Santa Homer, have access to new buildings and will have the ability to decorate Springfield’s structures with Christmas lights. Oh, and there’s lots of snow thrown in there to make everything look authentic.
Also included with the new look are additional missions and a new currency called Santa Coins. Santa Coins can be used to obtain decorations.
The core experience is still the same. You’ll spend the majority of your time waiting for characters to complete their various tasks. But hey, it still looks really nice.
EA also pointed out this game does not work on the first and second generation iPhone and iPod Touch.
“If you have a 1st and 2nd generation iPhone and iPod touch, you may not be able to play the Simpsons,” EA wrote on The Simpsons: Tapped Out Facebook page. “We are constantly improving our games for the amazing new products that run them, and look forward to sharing our amazing new content with you once you have upgraded your device.”
There’s still no word on when this game is coming to Android.
