Well, I’m kind-of speechless. I think that’s a natural reaction though, when you’re presented with the Lollipop Chainsaw Valentine Edition. It is pretty out-there. On the other hand, a lot of special edition releases of video games get pretty crazy. But then, it’s also so very, ridiculously Lollipop Chainsaw.
Might as well go through what people get with the Lollipop Chainsaw Valentine Edition. A PS3 or Xbox 360 version of the game is included, naturally. There is also a Perfect Unlock code to use in the game to unlock everything. There are also two DVDs with in-game movies, trailers and a digital Lollipop Chainsaw comic book. You also get a bunch of items to customize your computer, such as an assortment of programs and a clock program. There’s also a sleeve to hold things and a special box. Though really, I think special could pretty much be used to describe the Valentine Edition as a whole.
Let’s get into the release details, in case anyone wants the Lollipop Chainsaw Valentine Edition. Don’t judge! You never know, especially since the PS3 version will be region-free. It will be ¥4,980 (~$60) and naturally released on Valentine’s Day. That’s February 14, 2013 in case you haven’t memorized it.
Even though Lollipop Chainsaw will be almost two years old by the time the Lollipop Chainsaw Valentine Edition is released, it’ll still probably do well. Lollipop Chainsaw has already proven sex sells and adding more to the existing game will only make it more appealing. There’s proof even! Back in August 2012, Suda51 made a big announcement about how Lollipop Chainsaw was its best selling game ever. At that point, over 700,000 copies of the game were shipped worldwide. One can only imagine what the sale figures are like now, especially with the Valentine Edition looming on the horizon.
