You thought you could overcome it. You believed you were safe. You saw Dark Souls. You conquered it. But you are never free from its clutches and the announcement of Dark Souls II proves that From Software now has you and will never let you go.

There are new monsters to conquer. New ruins need exploring. More lore must be uncovered. A new avatar must be created and then repeatedly put in harms way. Dark Souls II will expand upon the Dark Souls formula and will require players to put forth incredible effort and perhaps even hundreds of hours to prove themselves worthy.

This Dark Souls II announcement is ridiculously fresh. It was only just announced today during the 2012 Spike Video Game Awards. It’s being developed by From Software in Japan as we speak, with Namco Bandai again handling localization. It will also immediately be available on the PS3, Xbox 360 and Windows PC, so everyone will get to joyfully suffer and build character at once.
