Microsoft’s focus on cross-brand integration continues today with the release of SkyDrive for Xbox 360. SkyDrive is Microsoft’s cloud storage solution. With it, you can store photos, videos and documents on Microsoft’s servers and access them from anywhere an internet connection is present.

SkyDrive offers 7GB of cloud storage for free. You can sign into SkyDrive using the same email address and password you use to access your Xbox account. From there, utilizing SkyDrive is as simple as uploading a file from your computer. It’ll automatically show up within the SkyDrive app on Xbox 360.

Windows Phone users get an added feature in the form of instant photo uploads. Microsoft says pictures that are taken with a Windows Phone will show up in the SkyDrive app without needing to manually upload it.

The SkyDrive app on Xbox 360 is only available to Xbox Love Gold members. Don’t worry, you can still use SkyDrive for free from everywhere else.
