The Hitman Trilogy, a compilation that included Hitman: Blood Money, Hitman: Contracts and Hitman: Silent Assassins, was already a thing on the PS2 and Windows PCs, but I doubt that will dissuade PS3 and Xbox 360 owners from picking up Hitman Trilogy HD. That’s the HD port of the first three games. I mean sure, you may already have the games, but the PS3 and Xbox 360 have backwards compatibility issues, Hitman: Absolution just came out and some people probably won’t mind paying $39.99 again for them on January 29, 2013.

That’s the new release date we have for the collection and it comes to us courtesy of Amazon. That’s not the only important detail we’ve gleaned though. Amazon has also revealed a Hitman Trilogy HD Premium Edition. Apparently, this is some kind of pre-order promotion, because it gives buyers access to an extra goodie. The premium edition is still $39.99, but it includes an artbook.

The Hitman Trilogy HD artbook actually seems pretty awesome. Apparently, it has 22 reinterpretations of Hitman moments in artistic styles you wouldn’t expect. The one preview page shown in the promotional shot above offers a look at an SNES-styled Hitman scene. It’s pretty nifty.
