Amazon offers up 15 free apps for the holidays

The Amazon Appstore has always offered a free paid app every single day since it opened. Sometimes the free apps can be quite good (like World of Goo), and other times they’re not worth your time to download. Today, Amazon is doing things a little differently by bringing back some of its greatest hits from its ongoing free-app-a-day promotion. 15 premium apps can be downloaded right now for free.

There is a good mix of apps to be had. There are a few games such as Radiant HD, Missile Defender and Mahjong Artifacts, and the rest are mostly geared towards productivity.  TuneIn Radio Pro isn’t a game, but it can be used to listen to some popular video game podcasts. The pro version also lets you control playback with a homescreen widget.
