nintendo downloads tokyo crash mobsToday is a perfect example of a slow Nintendo downloads week. There’s nothing for the DSi, Wii or Wii U. Only 3DS owners get new games to enjoy. Even so, the pickings are slim. You can choose from Kirby’s Star Stacker or Tokyo Crash Mobs if you’re in the mood for a 3DS exclusive. Both are puzzle games and while I can’t speak for the Kirby spin-off, I can say Tokyo Crash Mobs looks pretty good.

Also, there’s one new demo this week to get excepted about. You can test out Fire Emblem: Awakening. The demo is on the eShop right now to tide you over while you await it’s early February 2013 release.

Really, what is there is pretty nice. I’d just have liked a bit “more” of it.

Gamertell’s Nintendo Downloads pick for the week is Tokyo Crash Mobs (3DS).

3DS eShop

Kirby’s Star Stacker
Price: $2.99
Originally Appeared On: Game Boy
Genre: Puzzle
ESRB Rating: “Everyone”
Players: 1
Description: This is a puzzle game like Columns. Blocks, iconic Kirby animal friends and stars fill the screen and it’s up to you to manuever and match them so all the items on screen are eliminated.

Tokyo Crash Mobs
Price: $5.99
Genre: Puzzle
ESRB Rating: “Everyone”
Players: 1
Description: This game looks weird, but it’s really a variation on those marble shooter match-3 games like Zuma. Two women named Grace and Savannah want to do and see things in Tokyo, but there are huge lines everywhere. So, they pick up people and throw them at other people wearing the same colored clothing to make the group disappear so they can get to the front of the line in the Story and Challenge modes.
