The Fire Emblem Awakening 3DS bundle is very similar to the Super Mario 3D Land and Mario Kart 7 bundles. People get a 3DS with the game already installed on it so you can play Fire Emblem Awakening anywhere. It’s a handy feature, since it means you will always know you’ll have one 3DS or DS game in the cartridge slot and one already on the memory card.
The system itself is also quite nice. The Fire Emblem Awakening 3DS bundle may just come with a standard 3DS, but it’s better than the normal system. See, it’s all blue with a special design on the top in silver. See that sword with two dragons on either side of it? That is just plain cool.
A price hasn’t been revealed for the Fire Emblem Awakening 3DS bundle yet. The basic 3DS normally costs $169.99. There’s a chance the bundle could end up being the same price though, as the Super Mario 3D Land 3DS bundle released for the 2012 holiday shopping season was sold for $169.99. Of course, the non-sale price of it was supposed to be $199.99, so the Fire Emblem Awakening 3DS bundle could be more.
Meanwhile, I’m just a tad disappointed that I didn’t wait. I bought the 3DS at launch and every time I see the purple 3DS, the 3DS XL or now this Fire Emblem Awakening 3DS bundle, I wish I’d waited.
