When people think about THQ’s downfall, it’s the uDraw GameTablet that takes the ire of those missing what was once a beloved publisher. It’s rightly deserved too, seeing as how it cost around $100 million to create the peripheral and at this point, last year in February 2012, THQ had 1.4 million of the things squatting in their warehouse.

The thing is, how is it doing today? I know they’re still not selling. I always see a couple of them on clearance endcaps when I visit Walmart or Target. The question is, just how low has the price been slashed in an attempt to make this unwieldly peripheral appealing.

Which brings us to the big, old uDraw GameTablet price list. The device originally sold for $79.99. I’ve looked up prices for the peripheral in all its shapes and forms to show just what it will cost you to own one of these fine accessories. Maybe if you’re lucky, you can still find one of the SpongeBob themed bundles!

If you’re wondering why Amazon isn’t on the list, there’s a good reason. The retailer is directly selling it anymore, but some of its merchants are. You can find the peripheral bundles there from anywhere between $13-$79.99.

As we can see from the data, Best Buy, Frys and Walmart aren’t screwing around. They know it is dead weight and want to ditch them as quickly as possible. I’d say Best Buy’s even close to the point where they’d pay shoppers to get rid of the peripheral. Kmart and QVC, however, are treating them like the treasures they are and the uDraw holy grail that is the SpongeBob SquigglePants don’t go cheap! Ironically, I’ve also learned from this bit of research that the uDraw games are often more expensive than the peripheral itself, retailing for between $9.99 and $29.99.
