Most game companies aren’t very forgiving when it comes to delays. We always expect them from time to time with any game, but all gamers get is usually an apology and the date we can then expect the game to come out. The people over at Insomniac and Tiny Giant have decided to offer something a little more for their fans after their recent delay for the most recent Ratchet & Clank game.
In a recent post on the Playstation Blog, Insomniac Games announced it will be delaying the PS Vita port for Ratchet & Clank: QForce (Full Frontal Assault in North America), being developed by Tiny Giant, until spring of this year.
Originally slated to come out at the end of January 2013, Insomniac stated the reason for the delay was the team needed to take more time to prep the game until it is ready for release. The original PS3 version was released just last November and those individuals who purchased the PS3 game also received the PS Vita version for free. This means those customers will need to wait a little longer until they get the game, but in the mean time PS3 owners will be receiving a free download of MotorStorm RC to compensate for the wait.
Owners of the PS3 version will need to have played Ratchet & Clank: QForce at least once, while connected to the internet in order receive the download. The code will be eligible for 60 days so make sure you get on it before it disappears.
Insomniac also wrote they’ll provide a more specific date for the game’s release in a later update.
While the reviews for the game were never stellar, fans should take some delight in the compensation even though Motorstorm RC isn’t the most notable game in the world. It’s still nice to see Insomniac and Tiny Giant trying to help those who have to wait longer for a game they’ve been expecting since last year.
